From treating Olympic athletes to founding Balanced Pro Massage, Monica’s journey is one of passion, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to wellness. CAMTC License #33056
Where it all began
Monica’s journey began in 1994 at the American Institute of Massage Therapy, where she had the privilege of learning from the renowned Dr. Myk Hungerford. This is where Monica honed her skills in sports massage therapy, driven by a passion for excellence and a commitment to providing exceptional care for her clients.
Her career began while still in school with over 400 hours of volunteer work at various sporting events. During that time, she treated about 2,000 athletes, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge pertaining to a multitude of injuries. Her school was one of the very few invited to work on the elite athletes of the Iron Man in Hawaii, where massage therapy is a vital part of their performance.
Monica also had the incredible opportunity to work with Olympic athletes during their pre-trials, an experience she feels truly honored to have been a part of.

After graduation, Monica Spent the first half of her career collaborating with a multitude of doctors and chiropractors, facilitating healing through various injuries while building her own private practice. In 2013, Balanced Pro Massage was born with Whittier as the prime service area, since expanding to serve Chino Hills and other surrounding areas.

Teaching & Mentoring
Monica was able to share her knowledge through teaching and mentoring full-time at the National Holistic Institute and the American Career College for several years. Having the opportunity to pass on her knowledge and ignite her passion for massage therapy in others has been truly rewarding.
She is humbled to work alongside so many phenomenal, talented therapists. Though she’s gained so much knowledge of the human body and has see the uniqueness in every individual through the years, she will always be a lifelong learner in the field of healthcare.
