Whittier College

"It is always a pleasure to work with Monica and the therapists from Balanced Pro Massage to bring a bit of self-care to our students, staff, and faculty at our college. Monica is such a joy to work with as she is very prompt in her responses when I ask to schedule them for events and is always available on the days we ask for. The students and staff all appreciate every time they come out to get away from their busy schedules to get a 15-minute chair massage and learn some tips from the therapists. Our staff enjoy it so much that other departments have contacted me to get their information to have them at their events too! I know that I enjoyed it immensely when I could get one myself. I always feel very relaxed and ready to go back to work. Each of the therapists that have come out to our college (Linda, Vanessa, Toni, April, Melissa, and Monica herself) were all very good at what they do for the students and staff to keep coming back and we would love for them to continue to come back in the future." -Danielle M, Program Assistant at Whittier College

cal poly pomona

Balanced Pro Massage was an amazing community partner. Their team understood our vision for our wellness event and helped us bring it to life. Communication was seamless, and their team joined us with smiles on their faces. Our students and staff loved their team and found it incredibly relaxing to take a few minutes to destress. They even asked when they would be coming back on campus! We will definitely be inviting their team to participate in future events.-Iliana R, Care Services Program Coordinator, Cal Poly Pomona

msf fitness

If you live in Whittier, you know Michael Seril and MSF Fitness! Not only does he help the people in our community to find the potential in themselves through fitness, he also supports our community by holding several different fundraisers throughout the year for a variety of organizations. We are so appreciative for what Mike does for Whittier and we are grateful to be a part of his efforts by donating seated massages and gift certificates when we are able. Thanks Mike and everyone at MSF for all that you do!-Monica Skalsky, Owner at Balanced Pro Massage

Maddi’s Closet

The world as you know it can change in a moment. When my 3 year old beautiful daughter Maddi was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor, the prognosis was not good. We went in strong and tried everything to beat the odds and with the decision we made to beat the odds, hard days were still ahead of us.

Throughout these difficult days, I thank God for the little daily gifts that were sent our way. Monica & Balanced Professional Massage was one of those gifts. The feeling of peace on the hardest days is what Monica was able to provide us by relieving Maddi’s aches and pains but also reminding me to breathe. Monica gave us the gift of relief so my little girl could fall asleep in my arms.

From these frequent treatments, our friendship grew. Monica & Balanced Professional Massage became so passionate about healing these children and helping us fight for finding a cure. Her team donated their time at our Maddi’s Closet 5Ks, provided raffle items at our dinner events and anything else they could do to support families suffering from pediatric cancer.

Today, I still believe in the healing power of massage. I believe even more in the love and compassion Monica and her team have put into their clients. I continue to use Balance Professional Massage for both of my sons and their athletic injuries. -Donna Holmes, Momma of an Angel and two amazing sons

Canyon ridge hospital

Our Balanced team was thrilled to work with the staff at Canyon Ridge Hospital for National Nurses Week! Massage therapy plays such an important part in maintaining the health of those that dedicate their lives to caring for others. We were so grateful to be a part of this week long event that offered seated massage for the nurses to show our appreciation for how much they do! -Monica Skalsky, Owner Balanced Pro Massage

a night to shine

We feel so blessed to be invited back to this event year after year! Whittier Area Community Church and the Tim Tibow Foundation have put together this yearly event to celebrate our special needs community and serve as a reminder that “they are valued, worthy, royal, and precious Kings and Queens.” Our Balanced team provides a space for the parents and caretakers to be pampered through massage therapy while their kiddos dance the night away! We truly look froward to this event every year! -Monica Skalsky, Owner at Balanced Pro Massage
